Mel Hartsell
Mel Hartsell is a 27 year old nonbinary queer person and uses "they/them/their" pronouns. They are a founding coordinator of Prism. Mel completed their Bachelor and Masters degrees in social work at UNCC after studying religion for 3 years at a small private university. Mel has been a social worker with Time Out Youth, foster care agencies, and now works as a medical case manager at RAIN (Regional AIDS Interfaith Network). Mel is an activist and tries to write sometimes and enjoys eating food, especially sushi.

Josie Karout
Josie Karout is a coordinator at Prism. She has been going to Prism since mid 2013 and has been a coordinator since March 2014. She is a bisexual, cisgender woman and uses "she/her/hers" pronouns. At 24 years old, Josie is a student at UNCC working toward a Masters degree in Applied Anthropology. She works as a manager in a cosmetics store. She is proudly Arab American and her favorite food is falafel sandwiches from Cedar Land Restaurant on Central Avenue. She is a native Charlottean.
