Prism seeks people from diverse backgrounds to help build our program. We encourage LGBTQ individuals from our service age-range to apply for first consideration.

Graphic Designer

We are currently looking for someone to help design a new logo. We will accept submissions and cost estimates.

Volunteer Positions

Web Master
We are currently looking for someone to keep our website up to date. This would require approximately 1 hour of work per week. The work includes publishing accepted art and writing material, updating the calendar, being aware of payment due dates for the web service, and being creative about what we can include on our website.

Social Media Manager

We are currently seeking someone to oversee our social media efforts. The applicant should be experienced with multiple forms of social media and have experience building and implementing social media strategy for optimum interaction. This position would require approximately 2 hours a week, broken into smaller increments.

Group Facilitators/Speakers
If you are are a member or outside individual/group interested in facilitating or speaking one of our social/support groups or Leadership Institute workshops, please pitch your idea in an email to prism.charlotte@gmail.com! Include a little bit about yourself and your experience facilitating groups. We will be in contact with you in preparation for your group.

Food for Group

Members or outside groups who would like to donate food for our social/support meetings or other events should contact us via Facebook message or text at 704-565-9113. If you would like to organize the food schedule and assure slots are filled, please email us at prism.charlotte@gmail.com.

Program Leads

If you see a program on our Programs and Services page that you are interested in taking the initiative on leading, please email us at prism.charlotte@gmail.com with a letter of interest, including your qualifications. If you and a couple of your friends would like to take on a program together, this is also recommended.

Bloggers

We are looking for individuals who would like to write blog posts for our website! Pitch your idea or send a complete submission to prismcharlotte@gmail.com. We are looking for coverage of local events, write-ups about intersectional issues that affect LGBTQ youth, or anything else you find interesting. You can also submit relevant art work and/or prose/poetry. (Coordinators make the ultimate decisions of which pieces are published. Coordinators will also copyedit and sometimes ask for content changes.)

All volunteer positions are supervised by the Prism coordinators. All positions can be used on resumes, and Prism coordinators will be happy to provide job references for exemplary volunteers.
